Crashpilot Underachieves due to Acetylation at the Nerve Terminal
نویسندگان
چکیده
Protein acetylation is mostly known for its role in chromatin remodeling. In this issue, Miśkiewicz and colleagues reveal a novel function of acetylation at the nerve terminal, where it regulates T bars and the number of associated synaptic vesicles to ultimately control the efficacy of synaptic transmission.

The effect of aspirin on the interaction of histone 05 and 05-DNA
The linker histones (H1 or H5) which play a key role in the folding of chromatin, are general repressors of gene expression. Nuclei of the mature chicken erythrocytes (and in some mammalian cells) contain both of them. Although the interaction of H5 with DNA is stronger than that of H1, it does not prevent the transcription of some erythroid-specific genes. It has been shown that some modificat...
متن کاملP152: Neurotoxicants and Mechanisms Neurodegenerative in Acrylamide
Many chemicals with broad industrial, pharmaceutical and agricultural application produce a neurotoxic syndrome in humans and experimental animals involving weight loss, skeletal muscle weakness and ataxia. Neurotoxicity is defined as a structural change or a functional alteration of the nervous system resulting from exposure to a chemical, biological or physical agent. Neurotoxicity including ...

Background: The Pelger-Huet anomaly dominantly is a rare and benign inherited defect of terminal neutrophil differentiation. Although neutrophil migration may be minimally impaired, granulocytes function is otherwise normal association abnormalities such as ocular, musculoskeletal are reported very rare. Case: An eight year-old boy with good consciousness but severe muscular atrophia and diffic...
متن کاملAnatomical Variations of Brachial Plexus in Adult Cadavers; A Descriptive Study
Background: Variations of the brachial plexus are common and a better awareness of the variations is of crucial importance to achieve successful results in its surgical procedures. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the anatomical variations of the brachial plexus in adult cadavers. Methods: Bilateral upper limbs of 32 fresh cadavers (21 males and 11 females) consecutively referre...
متن کاملReport of a Novel Bilateral Variation of Sciatic and Inferior Gluteal Nerve
Sciatic nerve is the thickest nerve of the sacral plexus, which innervates many muscles and vast areas of the skin of the lower limb. It leaves the pelvis via the greater sciatic foramen, emerges into the gluteal region by passing under the piriformis muscle, and descends beneath the gluteus maximus to divide into its terminal branches: tibial and common peroneal nerve at the superior angle of ...
